Team moss

I'm joining every other decor blogger out there and making a moss wreath.

I've never really been a fan of wreaths. I think it's because whenever I think of them, I picture the country ones from the early '90s. My parents definitely had one in that famous country blue with a wooden duck on it. I may need therapy after revisiting that memory.

Anyway, I went to Joanns for my supplies (I picked Joanns because they seem to have the biggest letters, and I had lots of their coupons):

Let the hot gluing games begin!

I've decided the "M/W" are the most annoying letters to do this project for. There are some very narrow and difficult areas to do. Halfway through, when my fingers began to hurt, I began extremely jealous of all the "I" last names. Some people just have it so easy. :)

The back doesn't have to be pretty. Here's mine:

The final product:

I'm really happy with how it turned out, and I love how huge the M is. Brent said he could see it 3 houses down. Point for me!

  1. Turned out great - love that your Hubby could see it so far away! My hubby will be out of town next week, sounds like something to keep me occupied once the kiddo's are in bed.

  2. looks amazing! you did a great job, the green looks fantastic against your black door also...

  3. Looks great! I've been meaning to do one for our door.

  4. Cute! I made one with our first initials for our wedding.

    Blogged about it here:

I have no idea where they are... pretty sure I threw them away!

  5. That is so cute! I have a huge G from our wedding that I could totally do this with... thanks for the idea! :)

  6. That's a HUGE m! looks great.

  7. DM – Yep, it's massive! I like letters that need their own zip code. :)

  8. What fun! I would love to try this! My first name starts with an M, so love the M!

  9. I love your 'wreath'! I love the size... it makes a statement. Mossy greens are perfect for spring.

  10. I love these...I really need to get around to making one because I drool over everybody elses!

  11. Just found your blog - your house is beautiful! Can't wait to explore your posts some a new follower.

Would love if you'd stop by!

  12. I love it!!! I have an M last name too, but it's so pretty that I'll take the pain. :)
